Winter Salcedo, BS, MBA, MA in Clinical Counseling Candidate
Winter is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling at Alliant International University. She brings strong, professionally developed skills in client relations, communication, and supporting individuals through complex, high-stress situations, gained through her background in commercial banking. After an established career in a client-centered field, Winter made a purposeful transition into the mental health profession to support individuals and families in achieving emotional well-being and personal growth. She has a strong interest in supporting those experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, and grief, and is particularly interested in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She previously served as a Volunteer Crisis Counselor with Crisis Text Line, where she supported individuals in emotional distress and strengthened her skills in active listening and emotional regulation. Winter approaches therapy through a culturally responsive and trauma-informed lens, creating space for emotional processing while also helping clients identify practical, goal-oriented steps toward change. She is committed to fostering a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported and empowered.
Sophia Morales, BA, MA in Clinical Counseling Candidate
Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Childhood and Family Development, from San Diego State University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling at Alliant International University, where she is developing the skills to support individuals and communities through mental health care. Sophia has experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA), working with children on the autism spectrum, as well as in childcare settings, where she has supported families in reducing parental stress and helped youth develop healthy coping and grounding skills. She also works in Food and Nutritional Services at Kaiser Permanente, where she engages with individuals from diverse backgrounds who are navigating complex health challenges. In addition, Sophia has volunteered with the San Diego Police Department to gain insight into crisis response and the experiences of first responders. She approaches counseling from a trauma-informed, holistic perspective and is committed to practicing with cultural humility. Sophia believes in empowering and advocating for her clients while honoring their unique values, identities, and lived experiences.
Alethea Cooper, BS, MS in Clinical Counseling Candidate
Alethea is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee currently pursuing a Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Counseling at California Baptist University. She plans to graduate in April 2027. Alethea is passionate about empowering individuals, children, and families to overcome life’s obstacles in ways that promote healing, growth, and resilience.
Alethea works as a Health Educator at Riverside County Public Health, where she engages with children and families from diverse backgrounds to promote healthy development, nurture parent-child relationships, and provide support and resources related to emotional and behavioral concerns. Through her work, she has gained experience building rapport with children and parents, engaging children through developmentally appropriate activities and skills, and coaching caregivers.
Alethea’s clinical focus includes children, adolescents, and families. She enjoys working with clients who may be struggling with stress, trauma, and life transitions. She takes a compassionate, client-centered approach and incorporates research-supported therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and family systems therapy. Alethea strives to create a safe environment where individuals and families feel heard, validated, and empowered.
Alethea is committed to practicing with cultural humility and providing inclusive, culturally responsive care tailored to each client’s unique identity, background, and experiences.
